Last week President Barack Obama, acting through his Special Counsel coerced the removal of Inspector General Gerald Walpin (whether through direct firing or threat and intimidation of such resulting in his forced resignation; the same in the eyes of the law) in direct violation of federal law (which Senator Obama co-sponsored) which requires 30-day notice be given to Congress explicitly outlining the reasons for termination of an Inspector General.

Since the President has violated federal law the question before the country is whether impeachment articles have been introduced into the House? Are we a nation of laws or men? Does the Constitution rule or does anarchy (whose name is Oabma)?

In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC’s web news “will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda.” This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.

Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. • Governor Schwarzengger in California is toying with a state flat income tax and talk is swirling about getting out of the welfare business altogether. Will that mean that millions of illegal aliens in California will go back to Mexico, or just move north to Oregon and Washington?

• He worked as a community organizer (read community agitator) in Chicago. During that time and since he has worked very closely with A.C.O.R.N., a large criminal organization which operates under hundred of aliases and has garnered a lion’s share of Obama’s bail-out money. They engage in criminal voter fraud and intimidation and Obama then has the charges mysteriously dropped. And this bunch is playing a pivotal role in Obama’s take-over of the 2010 census.
• After law school he worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago.
• He taught constitutional law (but apparently learned nothing about it) at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992-2004.
• Served three terms in the Illinois Senate from 1998-2004.
• During that time had an unsuccessful bid for Congress in 2000.
• Elected to the U.S. Senate from Illinois in 2004, sworn in January, 2005.
  After only 25 months in the U.S. Senate, he announced his run for the Democrat Presidential nomination in February, 2007. He is inexperienced in anything approaching an executive office (in public service or private business), lacks any foreign policy experience, is virtually unknown, untested and certainly not vetted.
• His campaign funding comes from very wealthy under-the-radar donors and many foreign sources.
• Coming from nowhere, he beat out Hillary Clinton, heiress-apparent for the nomination.
• Just after he secured the nomination the bottom suddenly fell out of the mortgage banking industry, dragging other financial industries, markets and institutions down with it.
• As a result of the collapse of the financial industries, just after taking office Obama begins spending trillions of dollars (which don’t even actually exist) to ‘bail out’ these companies that are ‘too big to fail.’ To this day there is no accounting for where and to whom the money went. No one seems to know. (wink, wink). Can anyone, or everyone say George Soros and his buddies?
• He then set about nationalizing private businesses, a la Nazi Germany and handing big chunks over to, guess who? The United Auto Workers’ Union, one of his big contributors during the campaign.
• He is pushing radical climate change policies destined to destroy American industries and jobs as a payback to his rich, radical left-wing environmental Nazi supporters.
• He has set his sights on nationalizing healthcare by which he can then control virtually ever private business in the country.
• He cannot speak or even go potty without a teleprompter. When he speaks it is a robotic, sing-song speech pattern with very little emotion or passion and improperly placed inflection at the end of sentences. He speaks in short, clipped phrases with a very monotone voice. It’s almost as if he is not really doing the speaking. When he must answer questions off-the-cuff he fumbles and bumbles almost always requiring clarification hours later by his minions. It makes one wonder who is writing the speeches and pulling the puppet strings behind the scenes.
• He nominates a racist, anti-constitutionalist light-weight federal appeals court judge to replace the retiring David Souter on the Supreme Court. She has been reversed 60% of the time on appeal. Her only recommending quality is that she, like Obama, sees the court as a place that policy and law can be made, not just applied to cases before it.
• He appoints a man as Attorney General who is hell-bent on disarming the public. What do they fear?

There is obviously a very well thought out agenda in play here. One that Barack Obama did not contrive. It is being funded and promoted by some very wealthy and powerful people behind the scenes who hate America. Barack Obama is merely the stool-pigeon that they picked to be their Manchurian candidate.

I am left with no choice but to sever my allegiance to the “Obama Administration’s AmeriKa” and declare myself an American citizen in exile. This fascist gang of street thugs constitutes an illegal federal government under the terms of the United States Constitution of 1787. So a state judge (Colorado) threw out some CU students’ challenge to the CU Regents of their ban on concealed handgun carry on CU campuses on a technicality. Well, maybe it was. But the bigger question of concealed carry on college campuses remains a valid issue. Yes, I’ve heard the libs argument that poorly trained civilians don’t fare well in staged classroom gun fight scenarios. And maybe they don’t. But one thing is for sure, I have a better chance of defending myself if I am armed than not. But beyond being a deadeye shot the idea of having any number of secretly armed people in classrooms and on campuses creates a potential deterrent uncertainty in the mind of a bad guy seeking a last instant of fame. Why do you think they pick schools to stage these massacres in the first place? They know there will be virtually no opposition. But what if there just happens to be a highly experienced competition marksman carrying a gun on campus? Hmmmm, maybe somewhere else. It’s a combination of the deterrent effect and the potential of really getting taken out before doing any harm that would tend to stifle these attacks. Why don’t they go on rampages at police stations? If guns don’t have this effect why do we arm law enforcement officers with guns instead of spit wads?

You call 10 different I.R.S. offices with a question and get 10 different answers, and none of them are correct. How about taking the mote out of your eye first Barry and cleaning up around your own back door. Implement the Flat Tax or Fair Tax! Good grief, your own Treasury secretary can't even master TurboTax! How dare you dain to preach to the private credit card companies?!
• Darth Sebelius was confirmed by the Senate today as the new secretary of H.H.S. A dark day for unborn children all over the land. Well, at least Kansans are rid of her.
• Benedict Arlen goes over to the dark side today. GOOD RIDDANCE! It will be challenging in the Senate for a while, but the conservative movement, the Republican Party and the country will be better off for it in the long run. He will probably loose to Toomey in the next election anyway.
• Looks like Michelle took her hubby's jet out for a joy-ride over NYC. Hope she didn't spill the champagne all over the fine Corinthian leather upholstery.

Just look at the litany of initiatives in the first 100 days: nationalizing the banking, mortgage and financial institutions and markets; working to restrict First Amendment speech freedoms in the arena of talk radio; working to disarm the public; working to criminalize political decisions and prosecute their political opposition; placing patriotic Americans on watch lists and demonizing them as terrorists and enemies of the state; fostering a cult of personality in its leader; cozying up to murderous dictators around the globe; decimating relations with our closest allies; moving quickly to nationalize industries such as health care; demonizing capitalism and corporations and their employees that provide the jobs, goods and services that we all need; fostering increased racial and socio-economic strife and divisions so as to accelerate class warfare; creating a climate of crisis, hysteria and panic to blunt opposition to their lightening fast consolidation of central federal power; appealing more to world opinion and global law than our own Constitution; promoting ridiculous notions of man-made global climate change to give a false sense of necessary urgency for the destruction of capitalism; demonizing our own history and religious underpinnings while moving away from the religious moral tents that have guided us since our founding; unshackling the shameless abortion industry and using fetuses for unfettered medical experimentation; setting up a greatly expanded citizen volunteer corps to 'remake' America; and a complete disregard for the Constitutional concept of limited and enumerated federal powers and the rights of the States.

Unhinged

I have come to the sad realization that I must foreswear any and all fealty, support, trust, faith, allegiance, respect and recognition of the current United States Presidential Administration and United States Congress, both the House of Representatives and the Senate and the Federal Court System; in short the current alleged United States Federal Government. This decision has not come quickly or without careful consideration. For many years I have firmly believed that the majority of legislation, spending and federal programs have been and remain unconstitutional and illegal under the strict limitations and enumerated powers of the United States Constitution. Repeated elections of new Congresses and Presidential administrations have not remedied the situation and the federal courts have been wholly unwilling to correctly interpret and enforce the supreme laws of the land upon a recalcitrant federal behemoth. What recourse do loyal and patriotic true Americans have? To submit to and recognize such a renegade government merely provides a guise of false legitimacy. I cannot in good conscience be a party to such activity. The election of this current President and Congress has drastically accelerated the dissolution of any illusion of a grounding of the federal government upon the foundation of the Constitution. As witness the move to nationalize private banks, nationalize the automobile manufacturing industry, nationalize the private health care system, nationalize the mortgage industry, nationalize retirement savings accounts in Social Security, abridge First Amendment rights in considering reinstating the so-called Fairness Doctrine, promoting and enabling abortion thus denying constitutional rights to unborn U.S. citizens, attempting to restrict the free exercise of religion in public schools, government institutions and public forums, attempting to restrict Second Amendment gun rights, refusing to defend our borders and sovereignty, refusing to enforce legitimate federal immigration laws and generally usurping the States and People of their retained rights by passing laws, spending money and establishing federal programs for which there is no specific enumerated federal authority or power. Quite simply, the current federal government is illegal and unconstitutional. Not to mention fiscally and morally bankrupt. No doubt, the people who fought to obtain our freedom and established this nation would be horrified to see how subsequent generations of public servants have perverted and bastardized their gift. How shameful and disgraceful. I just pray that we come to our senses and correct the course of our foundering ship of state before we pass the point of no return. Until then, I hold the current federal government in contempt and shall work to reinstate the United States Constitution and a legitimate federal government.

I Win, I Win!

Yesterday, I was poised to lay off one of my employees and just at the moment Chairman BO's pen touched the porkulus bill paper, I felt a tingle go up my leg and changed my mind. With the thought of all of that money now flowing I decided not to lay off that employee, and thus it became the very first of the 8500 saved jobs in the state of Colorado as a result of this bill. Do I get a prize?

So in an era when it is fashionable to deride private business execs for using corporate jets and taking luxury retreats, we are going to load up a Boeing-747 (Air Force One) and fly it one hundred miles from D.C. to Williamsburg, Virginia for a luxury spa retreat weekend with the whole Dem political gang (who have to merely ride a chartered Amtrak with helicopter security overhead). In addition, we have to fly the presidential limo down there and bring in Marine helicopters, not to mention the enormous Secret Service security apparatus. All of this for a political retreat with $75 seaweed wraps to talk about the plan to take over the country and impose martial law. Why couldn't the prez of the little people ride for two hours in his limo down there? Are they afraid something might happen along the highways in Virginia? If he really has a hankering to fly the Platinum-Plated Skies he could buzz Kentucky and see the real suffering of the real people in this horrible ice storm (Algore, call your office).

Here Come da Prez!

So I skipped watching any of the inauguration yesterday and instead put on some 1950’s rock-and-roll CD’s. My how far we have come. That was real music. At noon here I went to the shooting range and put about 50 rounds downrange. Boy the chatter there was not very favorable about the new wunderkind. When I got back to the office I listened to excerpts from B.O.’s speech as well as some of the musings of various other speakers. What I heard of B.O.’s speech was flat and uninspiring, if not downright depressing. I did take notice when he said that we need to get busy again remaking America. What?? I don’t want America remade, particularly in his image. I kind of like our current constitution. Perhaps he would consider simply abiding by and enforcing that document for a start. Given where we are that could be construed as remaking America. I am also not too fond of his proposal for a large, well-funded national service corps, aka The Hitler Youth. Maybe green shirts instead of brown, though. I can just envision them knocking on my door telling me to turn down my heat and get rid of my V-8. The car, not the juice.
Then I heard Reverend Joseph Lowery talking about mellow yellow people and the white people needing to embrace what is right. So this is what they mean by post-racial?? Statements like that will certainly go far in promoting unity and love amongst the Kum-ba-Yah crowd. I can just see those rednecks in the South that Tom Brokaw dissed beating their shotguns into Obama commemorative candlestick holders.
And how about that poet laureate, Elizabeth Alexander? I listened to that offering of hers several times and still have no idea what she was trying to say. It sounded like the random writings of a febrile five year-old. Why must we be submitted to this poetry thingy every four years? It does not make the new president seem erudite and sophisticated, but rather buffoonish. Maya Angelou was enough already.
It seems altogether much ado about nothing. An inauspicious start for an unknown entity now masquerading as the leader of the free world. The first pop-culture president. “We don’t know what he stands for or plans to do, but ain’t he cool?”
And then there are the pictures of the National Mall knee-deep in the trash of the clean-up-the-planet crowd. Hmmm, I guess this is one of the jobs that Americans simply won’t do. Gotta have amnesty.
Oh well, when the collective national hangover clears and the fog lifts perhaps Americans will realize that they don’t really want to dance with the one that brung them.

Fund the U.S.A., Buy a Chevrolet

So my wife asks me the other day: For 2009 in lieu of paying federal income taxes could we just buy a car from one of the not-so-big-three U.S. manufacturers in an amount of at least our tax liability? That would bypass the government bureaucratic middle-man and give our bailout money directly to the recipient. By cutting out the handling fee more of our money would go right to the people who need it the most.

Talk is Cheap

Is anyone else already tired of BO's voice and speech pattern? There is something very annoying about it. His inflection goes up at the end of every sentence. It should go down. Inflection only goes up at the end of a question. It is eerily robotic. Very condescending. It's like he's not really talking to the person asking questions; there's no conversational tone to him. He just searches the hard drive for the correct answer and starts shooting off bullet-points. The best word that I have found to describe it would be, smarmy. Sort of makes you want to take a shower after hearing him speak.

Time for Some Comic Relief

In the New York Post of December 18, Cynthia R. Fagen has an article about the just-released college pictures of B.O. Here is a small taste of her reporting:

"...Taken during a 1980 photo shoot by Occidental College pal Lisa Jack, the snapshots show that the freshman was already showing off the quiet confidence of a future president.
"He was very charismatic even then," Jack recalled of the brief encounter at her off-campus Los Angeles apartment.

"He was a little nervous," she said. "You can see he's just posing, initially, and as the shoot goes on, he starts to come out. ..."

Honey I Think We Took A Wrong Turn

Greetings Congressman XXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your letter regarding the current automobile manufacturer crisis. I applaud your fortitude in opposing bailouts or loans and your thoughtfulness in offering a different tack. I am sure that local car dealers are frustrated with having too many unsold vehicles on their lots. This no doubt stems from the credit crunch precipitated by the Democrats’ mismanagement of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and somewhat to the high price of many domestic vehicles, which is part of the broader automaker problem. Unfortunately I believe that offering a consumer tax credit to purchase those vehicles is only a short-term band-aid which will not cure the bigger disease in the industry. Additionally, it once again uses the federal tax code for social engineering, something that I loathe.
There is no doubt that cars made by the Big-3 are too expensive. The problem does not stem from corporate jets and bigwig bonuses. One factor is too much intrusive federal (and state) regulation of automobile standards. These ridiculous rules put too much of a burden on the carmakers, thus preventing them from making cars that people actually want to buy and can afford. The standards don’t really save lives or the environment. Secondly, union influence over the automakers’ business practices has become too onerous and too expensive. This has only happened because the federal government has empowered the unions thusly. The total benefit packages for autoworkers are insane and financially unsustainable. There is absolutely no reason for workers to have this much influence over private businesses. And they wouldn’t, save for the Congress- mostly liberal Democrats. Other than egregious safety violations or abusive tactics, workers should have no further say in how a private company runs its business. If they don’t like it, they can find a job elsewhere.
So both of the major reasons for the failure of the automakers falls back in the lap of the federal government. The last thing we need is for the feds to try and fix the situation! The best thing that they could do is to get out of the mess. Strip the unions of their unreasonable power and rescind the insane regulations. Then hands off! Let the automakers go through Chapter 11, reorganize, dump the old union contracts and get about building cars that Americans actually want at prices they can afford and that compete with other manufacturers. This talk about the Big-3 being too big to fail is silliness. We are not talking about failing; we are talking about reorganizing and emerging stronger and more competitive. Many airlines have successfully navigated this process. Maybe the federal government should consider it. When I was taking flying lessons the instructor taught me that when a plane is stalling and going into a spin I had to take my hands off of the controls to let the plane stabilize. That violates all of your natural instincts. But trying to fight the spin is certain death. We need the federal government to do the same thing in this, and many other situations. Unfortunately, the nature of the government and politicians is to always try to do something in every situation. After all, isn’t that what we hired them for? To simply do nothing seems irresponsible, right?
I seriously think that we would all be better off to send the President, Supreme Court, House and Senate home and pay them to sit there and do nothing for two years. For as we learn in medicine, first do no harm. The private market is a great thing when allowed to work unfettered. However, it has not been allowed to work freely in the automobile industry for many, many years. It’s time to get back on the right road.
By the way, I believe that these principles should also be applied to the health care system. Ah, but that’s another topic for another day.

Doctor, Heal Thyself

(Responding to an emergency room physician letter-to-the editor asking Obama and the feds to provide more funds for emergency rooms to become the safety net for people needing basic medical care who do not have health insurance)
The federal government lacks the constitutional authority and power to fund or manage emergency rooms (not to mention that is is busted, it has no money). They are a horribly ineffiencient and expensive avenue for delivering family medicine to the needy. The feds have already made a wreck of the health care system and any further meddling by them will only greatly worsen the situation. Let's clean up the tort system, get malpractice premiums and product liability costs down and reduce the union driven cost of labor. Give people portable medical savings accounts which unties insurance from employment. Finally, relink payment between the actual consumer (patient) with the provider so that people can shop for insurance and shop for care to find the best care for the best price. Let the market actually work and get the artificial, inflationary constraints of government out of the equation. For those that still need help with basic medical care let the states figure out the best way to help deliver it, but not through emergency rooms.

If the President directs Treasury to bail out the automakers in defiance of the Senate decision last night, then it is about time for the American people and corporations to start withholding their federal income tax payments. Barry, We Hardly Knew You

So, Barry O will use his full name, Barack Hussein Obama at the swearing in ceremony (there's something fitting about that ceremony title). Will Fitzgerald be there to fill in the MF's every other word? He has also related that he plans to give a major speech in an Islamic capital shortly after the inauguration. Given his heritage and upbringing it seems to be coming clear that he may be a closet Muslim. Now, there's nothing wrong with that except for the fact that he denied it and subsequently lied to the American people during the campaign if it is in fact true. The church that he spent the last 20 years sitting in is based upon the doctrine of black liberation theology, closely affiliated with Islam and the anti-Semite, Louis Farrakhan. With his intransigence on releasing his birth certificate to clear up the mystery surrounding his birthplace and his proximity to the scandal swirling around Chicago politics right now, it is clear that he cannot be trusted and is not ready or fit to be President.

The U.S. Constitution and the American experiment are truly dead.  This unconstitutional, neo-Nazi automaker bailout loan is just another of many nails in the coffin.  Over the last few months we have witnessed the surreal vision of the federal government nationalizing one private industry after another.  It has been fast and easy enough to make Adolph blush.  The American people don’t want it yet our moronic ‘public servants’ are trying to cram it down their throats.  I will not purchase a car made by the new Big-3 and will urge everyone I talk with to do likewise.  Take heed, the federal government is not too big to fail.  Hear the winds of the second American revolution beginning to blow.

It's Time to Pay the Piper

If you think about the current economic mess in which we find ourselves and all of the talk about a 40% loss of value in the stock market, nothing has really gone away. Dirt, buildings, cars, trucks, houses, television sets and shoes are all still here. None of that has disappeared. Credit and the money value of business have decreased, but those are not actually real. They are only psychological constructs. Money is not based upon anything like say, gold. Money and credit are only agreements between people. They only exist in people’s minds and imaginations.
The real culprit here is easy credit and the false demand driven by it. This is true for individual families, corporations and government at every level. The current collapse has been inevitable for decades. And there is plenty of blame to go around. Those responsible for extending such credit are culpable as are the people and institutions who kept lapping it up and spending this fake money like there was no tomorrow. With regard to the national debt we would say, well we just owe it to ourselves. When that was actually true it was still a bad thing because it would strap our children and grandchildren with a horrendous tax burden to service the debt. But now, we actually owe a huge chunk of our national debt to foreign powers such as China, not necessarily good friends and who certainly don’t have America’s best interests foremost in their plans.
This addiction to credit and wild spending is every bit as powerful a force as addictions to tobacco, alcohol, drugs, sex and gambling. And every bit as hard to shake. It sneaks up on you so gradually and by the time you realize that you have a problem you are probably past the point that you alone can do anything to stop it. For decades our society has been driven by the relentless push to achieve and acquire, achieve and acquire. Keep up with the Joneses. We are bombarded constantly and everywhere by Madison Avenue marketing exhorting us to buy, buy, buy! More, more, more! You deserve it-NOW! Don’t wait, use the plastic. Have it today. Pay for it, well, never. Tomorrow never comes. Twelve months same as cash. No payments no interest for a year. We are pressured by our co-workers, neighbors, friends, relatives, children and their peers. We must keep up appearances. We have to have the newest, flashiest and fastest. This easy credit has put people in houses, cars, big-screen televisions and clothing that they cannot really afford and should not be buying. This same mind-set also applies to corporations and governments. The sky-rocketing demand for all of these goods and services has been built upon a precarious house-of-cards for many years. Fake credit providing fake money driving fake demand creating fake business growth creating fake jobs with fake income and resulting in fake tax revenues culminating in a fake economy with a fake GDP and fake growth rate. Well, the predictable explosion of the comical mortgage market was the card on the bottom. When it was pulled out the whole house has come tumbling down. Sadly, this has been obvious for years. It had to happen. It needed to happen. Like a drug addict, at some point someone has to take the needle away and let the patient go through the horror of withdrawal. It’s ugly and painful, but it’s the only way to ultimately survive. Then, after it’s over someone must always watch out to stop the addict from going back to the drug.
For many years the hole in the bottom of the boat was small enough that we could just bail the water out and stay afloat. Adding more fake money and credit to cover the bad worked for a while. Now the hole in the bottom of the boat has become so large that bailing will no longer work. We have to plug the hole first. That means no more easy credit, no more borrowing. We must cut back on spending and go to a cash-only, pay-as-you-go basis. That applies to individuals and families, corporations and governments from your city all the way up to the federal government. We cannot print any more funny-money lest we risk creating hyper-inflation which will only greatly exacerbate the problem, not solve it. People must go back to my grandparents’ budget strategy. You live below your means, save money and pay cash for the things that you really need and at a level that you can really afford. That will mean smaller homes, modest cars, fewer vacations, smaller television sets and non-designer clothes for many. It will also mean understanding delayed gratification. You save for things that you really want and put off buying them for years until you can pay cash for them. That’s right, 23 year-old college graduates don’t deserve to buy a BMW, a 5-bedroom house, Fila sneakers and 70-inch home theaters for probably another 20 years. So sorry. These federal bailouts and loans must stop. They only serve to forestall the inevitable correction that our businesses and economy must go through. If we don’t, the problems will only fester and grow bigger beneath the surface to erupt later in a much bigger disaster. Let’s get our national withdrawal over with and reset the economy on saner foundations. Pay now or pay later. The price will be much greater and more painful if we wait until later.

Who's Coming to Town, Santa or Scrooge?

Donald Trump nonchalantly misses a $53 million interest payment for one of his casinos. The federal government is passing out trillions of non-existent dollars to an endless line of panhandling corporations, running up the federal debt well beyond the stratosphere (if you think any of that will ever be paid down I would love to sell you some beachfront property in Arizona). The feds can’t consistently run a balanced budget, much less a surplus. There are untold trillions of unfunded commitments to future Social In-security and Medicare ‘recipients’ just waiting to bust the budget. So what is our brilliant president-elect planning? Trillions of dollars for new federal programs all paid for by raising tax rates on the wealthy. And of course they will dutifully pay them. No, they won’t shift their income off-shore or into tax-deferred instruments. Of course not. That would be unpatriotic. Hehehe.
And with all of this going on, if Joe the Plumber misses one payment on his credit card they call out the National Guard to haul him in. Sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander? How is he supposed to look his children in the eye and explain why this will be a bleak Christmas? The feds are passing out money like candy. Dad, go get some for us! We average Joe’s are supposed to pay for all of these bailouts, keep our family budgets in balance and dare not delay, much less miss any payments. Don’t do what the feds do, do what they say. Don’t follow their lead. Duh, McFly, they’re not leading! They’re not following. They are floundering. How on Earth are we supposed to teach our children fiscal responsibility when our esteemed ‘public servants’ are completely reckless and irresponsible with our cumulative national milk money? In the corporate world they would all be hauled up on charges for gross negligence, mismanagement and embezzlement.

Dinosaur Death Groans

The U.A.W. believes that the Big Three automakers are too big to be allowed to go out of business and are demanding a federal bailout for them. How generous. Does anyone buy this? The bailout is really for the U.A.W., not the Big Three. The U.A.W. is a dinosaur that needs to become extinct. Because of their contract terms the Big Three cannot make quality cars at prices that people can afford and compete with foreign manufacturers. The U.A.W. has priced itself out of the market. Its high salaries, gold-plated bennies and cushy retirements will be its undoing. American tax dollars should not be used to bail it out. Automakers should file for chapter 11 reorganization and jettison the heavy-handed union contracts. The U.A.W. has made its bed, now it must lie in it. It is not too big to be allowed to fail. You know, when the dinosaurs became extinct they became the oil that powers our cars. Hmmmm, if the U.A.W. becomes extinct the money put back into the auto manufacturing industry may just power the future of that industry. How poetic.

This bailout will allow me to stabilize my personal finances and remain solvent while I continue to make my mortgage and other debt payments. That in turn will help prevent these institutions from going under and requiring further federal assistance. In addition I will be able to continue my federal income tax payments to fund your $7.4 trillion bailout of these institutions.

Cutting Noses To Spite Faces 101

In regard to the changes and layoffs due to the failure of the county sales tax issue, I have a suggestion. It is probably not going to happen, but if you took the 100 highest-salaried people in both the city and county governments, including M******l Hospital and Utilities, and reduced their salaries by 25 percent, they would still have very comfortable incomes, and it would help many of their co-workers keep their jobs.
With the economy down, I do not know why governments should not share in the slowdown, as the people affected are the people paying the salaries."

Yet another envy letter in the class-warfare rage so accelerated by the most recent election. I believe that this poisonous tone set by the election of Barack Obama will greatly eclipse any up tick in racism, real or perceived. His proposal comes with no hard numbers from any financial analysis or substantiation of any of his assertions. It is merely an uninformed knee-jerk response born of a ‘have’ vs. ‘have not’ mentality.

He does not tell us how much money would be saved by reducing the salaries of 100 people by 25% relative to the loss of revenues and budget shortfalls. Would it really make much difference at all? And his argument does not take into account how many people would leave and what the cost of replacing them and training the new employees would be. People who have based their lifestyles on a certain income are not going to just sit by and do nothing if that salary is arbitrarily reduced by 25%. Would he? An organization cannot attract, hire and hold on to quality people if it pays well below the prevailing market rates. If positions can be eliminated, then do so; but don’t try to hold on to people on the cheap. It won’t work. If you look into the budgets of the organizations referenced you will find that many cuts and changes have already taken place. These organizations and their employees are doing their part and feeling the pain, even though their financial plight is due to national and global economic realities totally beyond their control.
The most telling comment was his remark that after reducing these salaries by 25% he feels that these people would still have comfortable incomes. This idea that one person has the right and authority to determine would someone else ought to earn is downright heinous. This mindset has infected far too many in this country and it will do us in. People who study hard, work hard and take risks many times wind up doing very well financially. I don’t understand why people think that by punishing them all the rest are somehow magically benefited. If you kill the locomotive the train stops and everyone riding in the passenger cars get nowhere. Folks with disposable income invest some which creates and grows businesses thus leading to jobs for all the rest. Not to mention paying more taxes for government to dole out to others. They also spend some of that income on consumer goods, which again creates jobs for people who sell those products, manufacture those products and ship those products. If you take disposable income away from people who have earned it, you may be insuring your own unemployment in the process. A rising tide does indeed lift all boats, all of the liberal caterwauling to the contrary notwithstanding.

The Name's Not Bond, Not James Bond

Saw "Quantum of Solace" last Friday. It's a great action film. It's not a Bond film. This is two strikes now for this franchise. I'll give them one more chance to make a real Bond film and if not I am done with this bunch and will hit the DVD's.

A Fixed Point of Reference

Can morality exist without God? Can there be absolute truths, good and bad, right and wrong without edicts from an Almighty? If not, who is to say which Almighty and which religious books we believe and follow? Hmmm, good questions. The answers should be even more interesting. Let’s think this through. For the sake of argument let’s stipulate that there is no God and no body of heavenly directives. When a group of people come to live in close proximity and form a society, human nature being what it is; there will be crime. Some people will take property from others and do bodily harm upon them. The victim will say to the aggressor that I don’t like that, it hurts me and it is wrong for you to do this. Yes, we can all agree that the victim doesn’t like it. We can also agree that it harms the victim. But, how do we say that it is wrong. Maybe the aggressor likes it, he gets a perverse satisfaction from the act and he is not harmed but rather rewarded with the stuff that he has stolen. He might say that what he did was not wrong, but very right for him. So how do we resolve this clash of right vs. wrong? Remember, there is no God or Bible and there are no laws yet. It’s just one person’s word and preference against another’s. So, the victim goes to his neighbors and exhorts them to band together to pass laws proscribing such behavior and punishing those who violate the laws. But, they ask; upon what basis do we make our decisions about which activities shall be deemed illegal and which shall not? Well, those activities which harm others should be illegal he responds. But the aggressor says that he was not harmed, but improved but his activities against you. So if we simply put to a vote of the people (pure democracy) it comes down to how many victims vs. aggressors happen to live in the society at the time of the vote. The determination of what is to be defined as right and wrong is merely left to the number of people lined up on either side. Too many aggressors and right is wrong and wrong is right, sort of. This is the tyranny of the majority over the minority in a pure democracy (devoid of a constitution or overarching set of guiding principles, e.g. The Holy Bible). Morality thus becomes relative and potentially ever-changing. A fixed point of reference that it always moving.
OK, we could say that only encounters and activities that harm neither party are allowed. If either or both parties are harmed the activity is illegal. We are now faced with defining harm. And we are now right back where we started from. How do we define harm? Remember, the aggressor in our scenario argues that he was not harmed. His concern for his victim is nil. If there are enough of these aggressors in the society, when the vote on the definition of harm comes, how do we think they will vote? We have made no progress.
Well, let’s look to our history and traditions for guidance. Oops, this is a new society with no historical tradition. Well some things are just so heinous that they are obviously wrong. Based upon your opinion that may be the case. And it may be the opinion of most members of society, but probably not all. And I would agree that some things are so bad that it just seems to make sense that they should be disallowed. But we are still relying upon the vote of the majority. It’s that tyranny of democracy thing again and such decisions don’t have real lasting power. They are relative and change over generations. It’s hard to order society when the targets keep getting moved around.
It’s beginning to look like we need some sort of outside supreme force to set some absolute truths and guardrails to guide our lawmaking process. These would be non-changing non-negotiable tenets. The only rules which meet those requirements that I know of come from God. But now we must decide whose God and which spiritual writings we accept. The good news here is that most of the recognized religions of the world have many similar absolute teachings on the basics of human life. That’s not to say that people and people groups over the years have not distorted and misapplied these teachings and caused harm to come to people. However, that is not a failing of the teachings but rather of human nature. That we sometimes abuse the doctrine does not indict or nullify the usefulness of the doctrine.
So I say that the only and best solution is for our society to select (yes by popular vote understanding the whole democratic tyranny thing but realizing that there really is no bad choice here for the reason stated in the last paragraph, whew) one of the religious doctrines, base their constitution and laws upon it and stick with it. Period. There really is no other rational choice. It’s the best path available to imperfect human beings in my opinion.
For the United States of America that choice is the Christian religion, derived from Judaism. These are the principles codified in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

Class is in Session

When conservatives talk about the federal judiciary and the importance of who appoints those judges I believe that we are shooting way over most people's heads. We talk about judicial activism, legislating from the bench, original intent and strict constructionists. Most folks hear our candidates talking like that and say, 'huh?' The liberals' candidates come out and talk about appointing judges who will use the law with compassion in order to help out the little guy and make things more fair for the average working stiff. Hurrah!, scream the masses. We are technically right and they win the election. Brilliant. Our discourse must be based upon an understanding that education has failed our people in the last 40 years. Most people voting today do not have a good grounding in their understanding of our history, heritage and workings of government. They just don't know how the courts work and why. They don't understand the constitution and how our freedoms, liberties and rights are established and protected and even why that is and should be so important to them. The concept of a large intrusive federal government simply does not frighten them. They see it as better able to give them more and do more for them. They don't understand why the Framers were so skittish about a strong central government and enamored with the idea of the States holding more power and authority. This is why so many people are confused about the role of the Electoral College and clamor for its abolition. I fear that far too many people believe that our rights come from the federal government. They don't realize that our founding documents clearly point out that the Founders believed that our rights come from God and the government is charged with the duty of protecting those rights. If rights come from government they can also be taken away by government. Rights conferred by God cannot be taken away by government. If government attempts to usurp our God-given rights it is then the right of the people to alter or abolish such a government. That's what the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War were all about. We conservatives must assume the role of educating the American populace about these fundamental principles and functions of the federal government and courts. We must do this in an engaging fashion, meeting people on their level and explaining these things in ways that people can understand simply and apply directly to their daily lives. Only then can we make the case to the American people in elections that our candidates really do have the common man's best interests at heart. Ring the school bell!

The Wedding is Over, Time to Toss the Rice

So Secretary of State Rice thinks that the election of B.O. is a good thing. (Speech in Houston, 11/16/08) A great triumph for her African-American people. Never mind the fact that it's a disaster for all American people. She thinks that it's time for new faces and new ideas. Well, that I can agree with. She has been a disappointment as S.O.S. along with many other milquetoast members of the Bush administration. Big spending Democrat lite, that's us. This philosophy has infected the Republican party and is responsible for our recent losses. She also pined for comprehensive immigration reform (read: Amnesty, path to citizenship for 20 million illegal aliens and 20 million new Obama votes in 2012; and 100 million new votes in 10 years as they bring in their families and relatives). She whined that we need to get over our anti-immigration mindset, quit fearing people unlike us and making them live in the shadows (while sucking up free health care, education, housing, food, etc.). Why have elections anymore? McCain and B.O. are already chatting each other up to ram through as much of this nonsense as possible. (In a bipartisan manner, you understand) We true conservatives must put the Republican party on notice that the nomination process for 2012 will not be by primary, but by coup if necessary.

Hey Buddy, Get a Bucket and Bail!

Bail out Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, A.I.G., Wall Street, mortgage banks, insurance companies and now the auto manufacturers. The federal government has no constitutional authority to purchase ownership positions in private businesses. So I now own a portion of these companies, get the 'pleasure' of paying for their bailout but get no dividends or capital gains. Huh? Who is next? Starbucks' profits are down 97%, how about big coffee? When do I get bailed out? No, I will get stuck with the bill for these failing businesses that should be allowed to fail and be replaced. Actually, if Washington would get out of their lives they might be able to survive. It's these ridiculous regulations and unholy public/private partnerships that have lead to this sad state of affairs. This is nuts. The world turned upside down. Government of, by and for the C.E.O.'s. Heads up D.C., if this continues much longer the winds of revolution will begin blowing.

Obama's Thugs Have Come Home to Roost

If another person tells me what a brilliant and formidable politician B.O. is I swear I will put a drill in my other ear. I have been hearing comparisons to F.D.R., J.F.K. and even Ronald Reagan in the media. Good grief! This guy is an empty suit and an empty head. You get him away from his handlers, speechwriters and teleprompter and he is a bumbling dunce. He can't put together a coherent sentence. No, it is the wealthy, powerful, radically sinister people behind him who have been shepherding him through his short, uneventful political career that I fear. People like George Soros, Michael Moore, William Ayers and the like. These people are merely using him as their puppet for their diabolical agenda. The entire den of vipers must be exposed and defeated in order to save the republic.

Nothing Succeeds Like Success

If I hear one more person tell me that I must, without preconditions come together and unite behind Obama and pray for the success of his administration I swear I am going to put a drill in my ear. Just what would success look like? If he succeeds in doing what he said that he wants to it will be the end of our republic, freedoms and Constitution, as we know them. I will not and cannot hope for that brand of change. Certainly I pray that no misfortune befalls him or his family, but I must pray that his stated plans come to nothing. Those plans must be opposed and defeated at every turn. I will pray for the successful survival of our nation through his one-term (God-willing) foray on the Presidential stage. Hopefully no external force will prevail against us, though rumblings in the Middle East, Russia and Venezuela don’t bode well. Likewise I pray that no internal mischief rears its head during this term. Our economic, cultural and institutional foundations should be strong enough to endure four years of Jimmy Carter redux, and then some; barring some catastrophic event. So let’s pray against catastrophic events and for 41 ‘no’ votes in the Senate.

Signs of the Times

During the months leading up to the election we had the Obama Campaign Seal (an offshoot of the Presidential Seal). Now at his first press conference we have the sign of the Office of the President Elect. Is there also a sign for the Bathroom of the President Elect? How about an insignia for the BVD's of the President Elect? Does anyone see a pattern here? Dr. Phil call your office.

Speaking of Birth Certificates...

OK. now that the election is over. let's have a look at that mysteriously sealed BHO Hawaiian birth certificate. Does it refute the claim of his paternal grandmother that she was present in the delivery room when he was born in Kenya, Africa? Is it a forgery? Are there matching records at any hospital in Hawaii? Let's clear the air of this once and for all. What's to hide or be afraid of?

Our 220 year experiment in constitutional republicanism is now drawing to a close. We face a ‘fundamental transformation’ into some vague poorly defined brave new world. After 40 years of pathetic public education and welfare payments we will now reap the results of government of the uninformed, by the uninformed and for the uninformed. The ‘something-for-nothing’ crowd has succeeded in selecting the most liberal, radical, socialist and inexperienced president in American history. The prospects for the safety and well-being of the ‘New America’ are chilling. Rather than uniting the country this election has the potential to be drastically polarizing, further accentuating the divide between producers and takers, haves and have-nots and, yes black and white. The Obama team constantly raised the race issue, while all the time claiming it was McCain. I do not believe that this issue is now settled, but rather heightened. I lost count of how many times I heard the chant, “He’s black, it’s our turn, we don’t care (or probably even know) what he stands for.” Unity my…as…k me later.

Please know that I have no intention of playing the dutiful role of ‘loyal opposition.’ The only thing that I am loyal to is Truth. I do however absolutely oppose the new administration. I firmly believe that Barack Hussein Obama is evil and evil must be vigorously opposed at every juncture. His personal belief about abortion and babies born alive after failed abortions is sufficient for me to clearly brand him as evil. No other issue is needed. And no other belief mitigates or negates that position. As such I must fight to utterly and completely politically destroy him and his policies as fast as I can. There is no virtue in dancing with the devil. While I pray for his and his family’s safety and that he would have a genuine transforming encounter with Christ, beyond that I must pray that his administration succeeds no more than the builders of Babel. The damage which could be done in the next few short years could take decades to undo, if at all. The legacy which he could leave in the federal judiciary will last for generations.

So who now protects and defends the Constitution?

Here is what we face:

-Further abridgement of the First Amendment: The ‘Fairness Doctrine’
-Further abridgement of the Second Amendment: Confiscatory taxes and registration requirements on the purchase and ownership of guns and ammunition with the intent of ultimately disarming the citizenry
-Abridgement of the Fourth Amendment: Unreasonable search and seizure and not being secure in our homes as witness the unprecedented assault on ‘Joe the Plumber’ and various media figures and outlets that dared to speak against the O
-No guarantee of life for unborn children and even children born alive after failed abortions
-Further Abridgement of the Fifth Amendment: The Kelo decision revisited?
-Further ignoring the Ninth and Tenth Amendments
-Open borders and unfettered illegal immigration leading to an invasion and assault upon our sovereignty and treasury of unparalleled proportions
-Gutting our national defense making us more vulnerable in a dangerous world
-Negotiating with and appeasing terrorists
-Socialist economic policies which will destroy the engine that pulls the train of prosperity
-An acceleration of the blatantly unconstitutional policies of the federal government including socialized healthcare, Medicare, Social In-security, a federal minimum wage and most federal programs and spending
-A federal judiciary filled with judges who legislate from the bench and shred the Constitution with no check or balance by the Congress and President

I hereby withdraw any allegiance, respect, loyalty and recognition for the new Obama administration, Congress and the federal judiciary. I consider myself a citizen of the ‘Old America’ living in exile within the borders of my sovereign state. Barack Hussein Obama is NOT MY President; he is the President of the thugs and hoodlums who elected him. I know; I stood on a major street corner last night waving McCain signs while carloads of young thugs and hoodlums drove by flipping us off and shouting obscenities about John McCain. These are the people you can thank for putting B.O. in the White House. Just another reason to raise the voting age to 25, and maybe require property ownership to vote, as well as not allowing people to vote who don’t pay taxes or receive welfare. Well, just a fleeting thought.

So, as our freedoms and liberties dissolve, wealth, business and jobs flee offshore, our enemies circle the wagons, the takers fleece the producers and the feds nationalize and bail out everything in sight; I urge the true American patriot remnant in exile to keep their collective powder dry. We once fought a war to overthrow tyranny and retain the right to do so again if, God forbid that is ever necessary. Short of that we must do everything within our power to retain and regain our Constitutional guarantees. And may God have mercy upon us all. God Bless you and God Bless America.
