Here is what I think is needed to save the Republic:
1) Abolish all Executive Departments, their budgets and regulations except for Treasury, Defense and State.
2) Abolish the federal income tax and replace it with a National Sales Tax, NOT a Value Added Tax (V.A.T.).
3) Abolish the estate tax and the capital gains tax.
4) Repeal the federal minimum wage.
5) Begin the phase-out of Social Security, MediCare/MediCaid by rolling them out to the states to continue, abolish or privatize as they see fit.
6) Repeal ObamaCare completely.
7) Limit federal judges to a 10 year term at each level of the courts, up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court. Pension and benefits will continue past retirement for only the total number of years served in the system.
8) Limit the President/Vice-President to two four-year terms, Senators to two six-year terms and Representatives to six two-year terms. Pensions and benefits will continue past retirement for only the total number of years served.
9) Return all federal lands to the states.
10) Return our currency to a gold standard.
11) Limit federal spending to only revenues received.
12) Audit the Federal Reserve and bring it under control of the Treasury Department.
13) Withdraw from the United Nations and expel it's headquarters from the United States.

Will We Survive?
November 25, 2012
To Whomever Has the
Courage to Read This:
It has become painfully
clear to me that the U.S. Federal Government is not working, and the situation
is getting worse. Dire. Many would argue that we just need to send
better people back to Washington. Well,
we have been sending politicians back there for over 220 years and things are
going downhill faster than ever. It
doesn’t really matter whether the Republicans or the Democrats are in charge,
the path is downward, and elections have become essentially irrelevant. Witness unconscionable spending, deficits and
debt; mostly for things that the federal government is not even
Constitutionally authorized to be spending tax dollars on in the first
place. American Idol, homosexual
marriage, legalized marijuana, condoms, abortion and contraception capture the
politicians’ attention while terrorism, open borders and voter fraud chip away
at our history, heritage and culture.
Nero fiddles while Rome burns. I
have absolutely no faith that the federal government, politicians or political
parties will or even can reverse course and fix our problems. Sadly, I am not even convinced that many
accept that there is a problem or really want to do anything about it if they
believe there is. The fiscal cliff is a
done deal. That was sealed many years
and many trillions of dollars ago, there is no avoiding it. It is only a matter of when, not if. Only cutting several trillion dollars a year from the federal budget (hell, what
budget?) in spending would even be a nod toward trying to fix our fiscal
fiasco. Is that going to happen? Ummm, no, no matter who is in charge.
Our only hope lies with
the States and the People. How some
bottom up solution would be constructed or play out I have no idea. I do know that short of it though, we are
done. Our future will be one of a
bitter, divided, balkanized, bankrupt third world society. You people up there in Washington are just
going through the motions. No one
believes or trusts you anymore. You have
become a joke, a laughingstock, irrelevant.
Your time has passed but you just don’t know it yet. We are now a post-Constitutional,
post-federal government society. I think
more and more we will see States and groups of People striking out to do their
own things. Take ObamaScare, for
instance. No one really believes it is
going to work or last. A lot of people
are simply going to ignore it, like doctors in a big way. We will see cash-only transactions, barter,
black markets and off-shore commerce in medicine and most other elements of
society become the norm. This is the
brave new world that your policies, both Republican and Democrat have wrought.
I just pray that the People
rise up and exert their Constitutional authority over this federal leviathan
before it is too late. May God have
mercy upon us all.

Wake Up Ralph!
To All Federal Politicians
Boy, you guys are in a pickle.
For starters let me say I maintain that MediCare and Social Security are not legitimate, authorized Constitutional functions of the federal government, Supreme Court rulings to the contrary notwithstanding. That was true when they were instituted and it remains true today in my estimation. Whether you agree with me on this or not frankly I don’t really care, my opinion is firm on the question.
Having said that, the reality is that we are stuck with them for the foreseeable future. And boy that is a real problem for you guys. These programs are actuarially unsound, insolvent and unsustainable. An honest assessment concludes that they are no different from the Ponzi scams that Bernie Madoff is imprisoned for propagating. The ruse that there is some lock-box, some personal account with my money in it earning interest for my retirement or medical needs is old, tired and totally untrue and discounted. We all know that current tax dollars pay current benefits, there is no invested money. This is nothing more than a welfare transfer payment. These pyramid scams work great on the way up, when more people are coming into the program paying fewer people already at the top receiving benefits, but on the way down when fewer people are coming in at the bottom trying to pay more people receiving benefits at the top; the whole house of cards collapses. With the baby boom bubble now starting to enter retirement and high medical needs years in greater and greater numbers, we are perilously poised at the top of that cliff. This huge baby boom bubble is followed by much smaller cohorts of taxpayers. In order for these fewer taxpayers to pay the committed benefits of the boomers they will be subjected to astronomically higher and higher tax rates with fewer people paying the medical bills and retirement benefits of more and more recipients. At some point the camel’s back will break and they will scream, “No more!” These unfunded out-year social welfare mandates top $100 trillion, a figure it’s hard to get one’s head around. We cannot and will not be able to pay these, period.
So what to do? Wake up Ralph. A diesel tanker truck driver is taking a verbal exam from the DMV instructor. When given a hypothetical scenario of impossible proportions his reply was, "Well, in this particular situation I would wake up Ralph." When asked who Ralph is, he replied that Ralph is his relief driver sleeping in the rack behind him. "OK," replied the instructor, "fair enough, so why would you wake up Ralph?" The driver replied, " 'cause Ralph ain't never seen a wreck like this before in his life!" Good luck!

Stand by Me
After a lot of research and soul-searching of the Obamacare legislation and the Supreme Court ruling, I cannot in good faith recognize either as legitimate or constitutional. Thus, I cannot submit to their power or authority over me personally. I must exercise my individual sovereignty and refuse to obey or comply with any part of them. I call on all physicians and citizens to join in civil disobedience with regard to these two sad government edicts. If these means I am to be arrested and jailed, bring the handcuffs. If these stand, the constitution, the rule of law and indeed the United States of America are finished. This is the line in the sand at the Alamo. If we lose this battle, we lose all. Either John Roberts was threatened/intimidated or he is mentally unfit to serve due to medication/mental illness. Barack Obama is truly a fascist tyrant of epic proportions. May God have mercy upon us and upon America.

Conversion on the Road from Philadelphia
Something has gone dreadfully wrong on the road from Philadelphia, September 17, 1787.
When Benjamin Franklin stepped out of the Constitutional Convention at the end of that fateful day following its acceptance, the story is that a lady, Mrs. Powel asked him what the drafters had given us, “Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” He purportedly replied, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”
Nearly 225 years later what is the verdict, have we kept it? In fact, do most Americans even know what a republic is? Do they know that the real power is vested in the States, not the federal government? Do most in government even know this?
There is a general undertone of uneasiness in the body politic, a sense of foreboding.
The powers of the federal government are actually quite few and limited, by design. Most of our Founders and Drafters were quite leery of a strong, centralized government. And rightfully so.
Those powers are to defend our borders and defend our interests at home and abroad, coin the money and deliver the mail. And that’s about it.
The federal government is not constitutionally tasked to manage the nation’s agriculture or education or energy or health care or retirement or certainly the nation’s businesses. Nor is it very effective or efficient when it tries to do all of this.
These things under our Constitution are, and rightfully should be relegated to the States and entities within the States. Taking care of the individual needs of people is not found in the Constitution and is not a legitimate function of the federal government. Quite frankly, it’s not very good at it. When it comes to helping people, those closest to the person and the situation are best suited to help those in need. Our history is one of family helping family, friends and neighbors helping friends and neighbors, churches and benevolent foundations helping those in their congregations and communities, and local villages and cities helping those in their midst. As a last resort one might look to the State. The least favorable prospect would be to look to some faceless bureaucrat in a cold, gray building far off in Washington, D.C. for help.
Unfortunately, over the decades the federal government, like a growing leviathan has been sucking up all of the oxygen and national resources leaving precious little in local communities and charitable coffers for benevolent works. It has illegally usurped the responsibilities of State and local governments amassing enormous power in Washington while chipping away our personal freedoms, liberties and private property rights.
The best thing that the federal government could do is to give the people their money and freedoms back and then, well, quite frankly get the hell out of the way!

Sit Down Mr. President!
In light of the recent dictates on contraception, religion and health insurance emanating from the White House, I believe that it is time to review the duties, responsibilities and authorities of the office of the President of the United States of America. The office of the President and its attendant powers are set out in Article II of the Constitution, and it's a very short Article. The President is the executive officer of the agencies of the Executive Branch of the federal government. He is not the executive officer of the Congress, the federal Courts, the States, individual citizens, private businesses or private organizations. Thus he may direct the activities and spending of those federal agencies under his control, but that's it. He cannot direct anyone else or anything else to spend or not spend or do or not do anything. Period. All of this huffing and puffing about directing churches or religious benevolent organizations or insurance companies to provide this or that or spend this or that is just downright silliness. Beyond his executive duties for federal agencies his few responsibilities mostly relate to defense, foreign policy negotiations, appointing judges and signing or vetoing legislation. I don't see running churches, charitable organizations or private insurance companies in that list. His law enforcement and legal agencies may investigate violations of federal law, bring perpetrators to justice and try such cases in federal court; but the President may not amend federal laws on the fly. This idea behind an all-powerful Presidency is what drives the move to abolish the Electoral College. Forces in this country would like to elevate the President to a virtual dictator or king with power over all aspects of the federal government, state governments, individual citizens, private business and private organizations. These forces would like to move to popular election of the President, ignoring the fact that the President is elected by the States to serve the United States of America. The People's direct representation in the Federal Government is the House of Representatives, the People's House. The President's role and influence has grown far beyond it's original intent and far beyond a safe and sane level. It is time to return the office of the Presidency to it's proper and limited role in our government, our businesses and our personal, private lives.

Obama Assault on Religion
This assault on First Amendment Freedom of Speech and Religion by this lawless, unconstitutional, anarchist, fascist so-called Obama Administration is an abomination. He has crossed a line and dropped his guard and revealed his true self. This is an assault upon the United States of America proper. This administration has become a clear and present threat to the U.S. Constitution and the U.S. Republic. Barack Hussein Obama has thrown the U.S. Constitution on the floor and crapped on it! There is no constitutional basis for this (and many previous) actions by this president. And don’t throw the lame, tired Interstate Commerce Clause defense up. That’s laughable. And yes, the federal government has the authority to tax…but ONLY for legitimate Article 1, Section 8 enumerated powers. PERIOD! The majority of American people are finally wise to these realities and the phoniness of this administration. And they’ve had enough. The only hope this Republic has for survival are civil disobedience and State Nullification. If the several States will exert their superior power (after all it’s the States who created the federal government to SERVE them) under the Tenth Amendment, we may preserve the Union. If not, I fear all is lost. There is no hope or solution In Washington, D.C. In fact D.C. is the source of all of these problems. The President, the Congress and the Courts have abdicated their Constitutional authority and failed to serve the People. They should all step aside out of a sense of honor and duty.
God save the Constitution and the Republic!
