Staying Alive

Oh how I long for the days when we are less concerned with whether or not the rest of the world likes us and more concerned with whether or not they fear us. Those countries that have no reason to fear us will come to respect us for our strength in standing up to tyranny and injustice. From that grows a friendship much more substantive than one based merely upon what we give them. Peace through strength. Trust, but verify (keep your powder dry). Speak softly and carry a big stick. Slogans to live by. The key word being 'live.'
